Description
This captivating artwork features a character with biomechanical attributes, skillfully blending organic and technological elements. The artist uses linear forms and vibrant touches of color to create a striking contrast. The neutral background highlights the silhouette, characterized by a series of geometric and dynamic lines, giving the impression of a complex circuit. The head is marked by vivid red and green hues, evoking an almost electronic gaze that pierces through the image. This bold composition suggests a reflection on identity and the evolution of humanity in the digital age. The choice to leave certain parts of the body semi-transparent reveals an inner layer that can be interpreted as an exploration of the emotional and physical infrastructure of a being in transition. Presentation
Benjamin Debayle is a French painter born in 1983. After studying multimedia graphics and then Plastic Art at the École Régionale des Beaux Arts in Saint-Étienne, he moved to Strasbourg in 2008 and created "KHAT Faktory", a micro-creative agency covering various disciplines such as graphics, illustration, animation and music. His practice gradually led him to urban painting when he discovered the Strasbourg Street Art scene. KHAT then became his pseudonym and painting his main means of expression. The strange, the unfathomable and the mysterious are already at the heart of his approach, whether he represents organic patterns, animals or plants. He then officially sold his first paintings in 2010. After having held several group exhibitions and events in urban art in France and Europe, he moved to Lyon in 2015. He then continued his career as a painter and showed the evolution of his work through group exhibitions in France but also internationally. The affirmation of his intellectual and plastic approach on the theme of light through color and black was marked by a decisive turning point in 2022 when he decided to settle in the countryside. He then devoted himself mainly to contemporary painting under his real name Benjamin Debayle. His encounter with nature when he affirms his attachment to the latter as much by its energy, its matter, its physics, the spirituality that it emanates or simply its beauty simple to apprehend and complex to define at the same time pushes him to work more on light and texture by means of black, which then completes his research on the artistic symbiosis of science, esotericism and poetry.
