Description
New3 The painting titled "Meeting" depicts a female figure portrayed from a three-quarter view, gazing off to the right side of the canvas, with her face as the focal point. Her complexion is fair, and she has straight, shoulder-length hair with a center part. She wears a wide-brimmed dark brown hat which casts a shadow over her forehead, emphasizing her contemplative expression. Her attire includes a collared, dark green turtleneck and a brown coat with prominent, angular lapels that add a structured look to her ensemble. The coat is detailed with dark, sketch-like lines that suggest folds and creases, giving it a textured appearance. She is adorned with a simple, yet striking, yellow ring on her left index finger, which stands out against her pale skin and the muted tones of her clothing. Her hand is gently raised to her chin in a thoughtful or inquisitive pose, adding to the narrative quality of the piece. The background is divided diagonally into two distinct sections with a sharp linear boundary: a deep teal-green color fills the upper right side, while a lighter, mint green covers the lower left, creating a contrast that frames the subject. The use of geometric shapes and blocks of color gives the painting a modern, almost abstract feel, yet the detailed rendering of the woman's face and the folds of her clothing grounds the work in realism.
Presentation
Maksym Newskulenko was born on February 20, 1993 in the city of Romny, Sumy region In 2014, he graduated from KhNUVS (SF) (law), but decided to devote his life to creativity, starting with tattoos, which he does to this day. He began studying drawing and painting with private lessons. Later, he entered a university to obtain an academic education. In 2023, he graduated from the SDPU named after Makarenko majoring in "Fine art, decorative art, restoration". Since 2021, participant of All-Ukrainian and international exhibitions. The author's works are in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, Great Britain, and the United States. Exhibitions 2021 - Exhibition for the Artist's Day in the exhibition hall of the Sumy Union of Artists 2023 - Exhibition and sale at the "Nasha M" gallery, Sumy, Manufaktura shopping center 2023 - International Art Contests White Winter 2023 - personal exhibition "Through the prism of feelings" in Sumy Since 2017, he has been engaged in artistic tattooing Since 2022, he has his own creative studio for children and adults Among the works, mostly female portraits are presented, in which a realistic image of the human body and geometric elements in the style of pop art are skillfully combined. The heroines of the works are calm, majestic, as if goddesses in modern clothes are preoccupied with the affairs of the present and are full of thoughts about the eternal. Each of them has its own story and is imbued with the author's personal love for the female image. The artist conveys the feeling of admiration, respect and exaltation of women as the source of life.
