Biography
"I work according to economic principles, I emphasize visual habits and I practice an almost wild zapping through styles and content. I am more interested in time than in the way in which an image can be made acceptable. I love the "a contrario" strokes , the uncertain speed which, as a sort of calligraphy, produces a strong visual effect with little means. I love this transitional side of the image and play with painting taboos, opposing seriosity and mediocrity, tradition and production... For me, painting is psychological before becoming material. I am not interested in the uniqueness of my works. My wish is that of constructing, through approximation and confrontation, a whole pictorial ensemble and introducing it in the course of its own history and reinventing other ways to tell about the physical character of memory and the adventures of its own "objectivity". One may have doubts about my painting but that is what makes its originality and its singularity. For the moment I am only in the prehistory stage ( the "Absolues" were born in March 2005 ), and I face the many opportunities that this "concept" offers me."
