Biography

Vineta Kaulača masterfully captures the fleeting moments of urban life in her paintings. Often composed as series or triptychs, her works use fragmented compositions to reflect the fast-paced rhythm of contemporary city living. They are marked by a sensitive interplay of light and color, along with highly realistic form, while placing greater emphasis on mood and atmosphere rather than on a specific urban detail.

Kaulača studied painting at the Latvian Academy of Art, in the Department of Monumental Painting under Indulis Zariņš and Aleksandrs Naumovs, graduating in 1997. She also earned a Master of Arts degree from the same institution in 2002. In addition, the artist has pursued studies in the United States and Germany.

Since 1990, Vineta Kaulača's works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Latvia, across Europe, and in the United States. Her paintings are included in the collections of the Latvian National Museum of Art, as well as in bank and private collections in Latvia, Italy, and Belgium.
