Born in 1977 Mykolaiv, Ukraine
In 2003 graduated with honors from the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts
 

All of Oleksiy's childhood and youth are associated with the warm southern sun. This from an early age entered into the heart of the author and runs a golden thread through all his work to the present day. While still a schoolboy, Oleksiy met the famous painter Nikolayevsky M. A. Ryasnyansky, who instilled in the future artist shoots of beauty and gave the first lessons of professionalism in art. The well-known painter and plein-air painter Y.N. Vintayev, who introduced him to the culture of plein-air painting, influenced the creative development of Alexey.
The creative way of Alexey Dmitriev is connected with the constant search for harmony and poetry in the surrounding reality. Trying not to isolate himself with any style or direction, opening himself to all the beauty going on in the world of color combinations, plastics, and images. The first driving force in his work is the dialogue that arises between the author and reality. In this lively communication, the author tries to get to know his interlocutor better and poetizes his qualities. Some of these qualities manifest themselves through plasticity, some through color tension, and some through the compositional structure of all the elements. Color, plastic, and composition are the main resources that allow the author to open the door to the world of beautiful experiences - the world of Art!
