Engineer, doctor of chemistry, I learned to play with matter and colors first by a scientific approach.
Always attracted by oil painting, I took advantage of an expatriation in the Netherlands to discover its riches.
This country, with a prestigious artistic past, was the ideal place to learn about the techniques of this art.
A long stay in Switzerland gave me the chance to contemplate the mountain. Fascinated by these snow-capped peaks, I set out to learn how to paint their brilliance, purity, majesty. I also painted the small colorful towns, the lakeside.
Then, I started to exhibit some paintings with success.
Having returned to France for a short time, I continue to paint and exhibit. I was selected at the Salon d'Automne in Paris 2020.
I am looking for abstraction on a concrete basis. I introduce the viewer into a familiar environment and let him get lost in a labyrinth of free thought.
Due to my dual training, my approach to a painting is based on two axes: an artistic axis and a scientific axis.
The artistic axis allows me to understand the aesthetic value of the subject, composition, color, light.
The scientific axis allows me to associate technique with the representation of matter.
Snow, mist, stones, wood are different states of matter and are therefore expressed with different painting techniques.
