Description
On this luminous canvas, an Alpine landscape stretches out majestically. In the background, snow-capped mountains rise, and the shades of white and blue of the peaks evoke a striking cold.
In the center, a few rows of fir trees unfold. The trees, with their dark and slender silhouettes, create lines of deep green that wind through the snowy valley. These few conifers give an impression of immensity and calm.
In the foreground, an explosion of color catches the eye: larches, flamboyant in their yellow and gold dress. These trees, with luminous needles, stand out brilliantly against the snow cover that surrounds them. Each branch seems sculpted, with reflections of amber and ochre, giving this winter scene an unexpected warmth.
The contrast between the cold of the mountains and the warmth of the larches creates a harmonious composition, where nature is revealed in all its splendor, as if frozen in a moment of timeless serenity.
Presentation
Odile Pinto-Corbin is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland and Germany.
After a scientific career as a nuclear chemistry doctor, she turned to an artistic life. Her training led her to explore various workshops in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and then France, where she perfected her technique. She is now part of the Dictionary of Artists Registered. She has sold to the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, and of course, France.
Her experience as a chemist gave her a unique perception of colors. Now, in her painting, she attempts bold associations, seeking to master the balance between contrast and harmony.
The artist seeks abstraction on a concrete base. And lets the viewer get lost in a labyrinth of free thought.
