Pierre Allard

Painter from the department of Eure, I grew up not far from Giverny, Chatou, between Honfleur and Paris where I studied, from a family of designers and collectors, I was declared blind at 7 years old by doctors.

Recovered a few months later, I exchanged my first drawings for a few marbles; a lot of drawing so, from my youngest age, oil on canvas since I was seventeen, I never stopped painting, fascinated by the painters of my region, André Raffin, with whom I had the Chance d'Aller, Pinchon, Louvrier, and more famous painters such as Derain, Marquet, Monet, Vuillard...

Diverse and varied exhibitions in the Normandy region and in Paris since 1989;

the school of Rouen and Paris, the fauves, the nabis, the impressionists, the expressionists, I draw my inspiration from where I live, painting mainly what I have seen or experienced.

I position myself in a pastist movement, halfway between modern and contemporary painters, nostalgic for what was best 100 years ago,

I am retarded, perhaps one of the last painters of the 20th century.
