Biography
Daniel Nadaud was born in 1942 in Paris. He lives in Pre St Gervais and in Olivet, Mayenne, France. Since 1988, he has taught at the Beaux-Arts School in Nantes. At the ahe pf 32, he shows his gouache paintings for the first time at the Lucien Durand gallery in Paris. The gallery will dedicate seven shows to his work the following years.
In 1982-1983, he is no longer satisfied with his painting. He breaks the chassis. He paints on other media, and then stops painting. The artist assembles objects that retain their original identity and creates sculptures that are at the same time confusing and strangely familiar.
In 1985, he publishes his first book of lithographies, and many others will follow.
