Gérard Bauer

Born in 1947 - France

Gérard Bauer is an artist born in 1947 in Coutances, France.

After studying at the School of Fine Arts, he focused on studying animals as a draftman at the Museum of Natural History, where he developed a hyperrealistic style. Later on, he started working in the depicting of old cars, developing a great technique.

He then started adding his humorous and inspiring personal surrealism to human and animal subjects. His compositions which take a long time to be conceived and created, are rare and difficult to find, in fact his pieces in homage to Gainsbourg are impossible to find.
