Gabriel Fabre

Born in Tokyo in 1967, I started as a photoreporter, then a portraitist at Harcourt studio before becoming a visual artist. After more than 70 exhibitions in France, Italy, Monaco and Japan, my creations are in private and public collections (cities of Nice and La Gaude).

Straddling Western culture and the reminiscences of my native Japan, my itinerary is guided by curiosity. Going from one medium to another with a researcher's spirit, I have always cultivated the taste of invention. Typographic form generators, a semantic approach to design, photographic textures, interactive installations, performances... On the thread of words, I developed an in situ approach by language (s) and I approached many topics as projects progress.

I currently live in the Nice region and share my time between personal creation, residencies, coaching and control work in architecture, decoration and design.
