Presentación
Jessica Houston tiene una maestría en Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Columbia. Fue invitada como artista a un viaje al Ártico patrocinado por Cape Farewell. Ha creado obras de arte específicas para el MOCA de Nueva Jersey en Asbury Park, el Castello di Corigliano en Pugia, Italia, Governors Island en Nueva York y el aeropuerto de Albany en Nueva York. La lista de sus exposiciones y proyectos incluye Odd Places (NY, NY), International Polar Year Conference (Oslo, Noruega), The Painting Center (NY, NY), Printed Matter (NY, NY), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Detroit, MI), Arts House (Melbourne, Australia) y Chiesa di San Lorenzo (Florencia, Italia). Fue Artista Residente en la Fundación Albers en Bethany, CT; en la NES en Skagaströnd, Islandia; en el CAMAC Centre of Art, Science Technology en Francia; y con Rosenclaire en Italia. Fue nominada para la beca Rema Hort Mann. Actualmente enseña en el Museo Metropolitano de Arte y ha dado conferencias en la Universidad de Columbia, la Universidad de Concordia, la Universidad OCAD y el Instituto de las Artes en Florencia, Italia.
