Biografía

Almo se pregunta sobre su identidad, los países en los que ha vivido, su rutina diaria y cómo se crea a sí mismo. Un forastero que ha hecho del mundo su hogar, piel y ciudadanía, y a través de su obra de arte, lo salvaguarda en un intento de explorar los misterios que pasan. Ya sean símbolos, sueños o marcas de la vida de cada uno de nosotros. La obra del artista a menudo presenta cabezas, cuerpos flotantes, árboles, signos de dólar, autos, ramas de laurel y elementos simbólicos que denuncian las crueldades de nuestras fronteras. Almo ejecuta sus dibujos intuitivamente en estas pinturas acrílicas, buscando un estado de semi-trance como él mismo define su proceso.


Almo, Jorge Alberto Morillo Doria, nació en Honduras, pasó su infancia en las Filipinas, se mudó a Italia para sus estudios de Univesidad, y ahora reside en Sao Paulo, Brasil.
