Biographie

Dennis Church, Américain (né en 1949, MasonCity, IA, États-Unis, basé à Bonita Springs, FL, États-Unis) a fréquenté l'Université de l'Iowa et a travaillé pour les bureaux gouvernementaux de l'Iowa et du Wisconsin après l'université, puis il a assisté aux ateliers de photographie Apeiron dans l'État de New York. . Il a reçu plusieurs bourses d'art public pour des projets documentaires. Il a effectué de nombreuses missions de photographie éditoriale, publicitaire et de relations publiques pendant 20 ans.


En 2000, son père décède, ce qui le lance dans une période très introspective: il arrête la photographie commerciale et consacre plus de temps au travail personnel. Dennis Church a récemment été reconnu avec l'inclusion de ses photographies dans le livre "Bystander, A History of Street Photography". Ses images sont présentées comme l'une des nouvelles directions de la photographie de rue par les auteurs Joel Meyerowitz et Colin Westerbeck. Il est fasciné à la fois par les harmoniques et les discordances des couleurs.
