Michel Pourchet
Born in 1960 in the heart of the forges of the mining and iron and steel basin of Lorraine, his work crosses several mediums, from stone to bone, from lead to bronze, from wood to iron.
In 2012, after a welding internship linked to his professional activity, iron, present everywhere, in the form of rebus, offers him unlimited accessibility and unprecedented plasticity.
A metallic world, a constantly expanding field of investigation.
Artistic approach :
"As a child, sometimes apart, I would sit and glean whatever the radius of my arm would allow me.
I lined up in order of size and material a multitude of common things, twigs, leaves, pebbles ... I then erected an ephemeral temple where no thought comes to distract.
I don't know the reason for rearranging things.
However, I continue to collect and collect ... "
