After studying art history at the University of Aix-en-Provence and photography at the National School of Photography in Arles, Aglaé Bory has been living and working for twenty years in Paris where, alongside her personal work, she regularly collaborates with the press and communication agencies. His photographic work lies between documentary and fiction, around the human figure through portraits, self-portraits and human landscapes. Photography gives to see, shows, fixes. Aglaé Bory seeks to see what cannot be seen, to show what is hidden, to fix what is volatile.

Aglaé Bory's work has been presented at several festivals in France and abroad (Bourse du Talent, Voies Off, Quinzaine Photographique Nantaise) has been the subject of various individual and collective exhibitions (Galerie du Château d 'Eau, National Library of France, Les Nuits Photographiques de Pierrevert) His work Corrélations has received several distinctions (KL Photo Awards, Bourse du Talent) and in 2009 entered the photographic fund of the National Library of France. A book of this work was published by Éditions Trans Photographic Press in 2011. Aglaé Bory is part of the corpus of photographic works France(s) Territoire Liquide, a book of which is published by Éditions du Seuil.

In 2019, she was one of the photographers selected for the CNAP commission, "Flux, a society in motion" with her documentary project "Figures mobiles" , exhibited during the Photaumnales 2020 at the Quadrilatère de Beauvais.

In June 2020, she won the Caritas Prize for Social Photo with Odyssées, a photographic work on exile. An eponymous book is published by Filigranes editions in November 2020.

In 2021 she is the winner of the residency of the Photo La Gacilly festival. His project, Les Horizons, a cartography of possibilities, will be exhibited at the La Gacilly photo festival in the summer of 2021.

In May 2021 she was welcomed in residence at the Filature de Mulhouse to produce a work of portraits in the city, Hors les Murs exhibited during the summer of 2021.

In November she was named winner of the Balzac Prize for her work Les Invisibles.

In 2022, she is one of the photographers selected for the Great National Photographic Order of the BNF / Ministry of Culture, with her project L'Art en Jeu.
