Biography
Teo is a Georgian-born multidisciplinary artist, based in Georgia and the UK. She graduated from Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 2007 and continued her studies at LUCA School of Arts and Design on a Transmedia advanced postgraduate course. In 2020 she gained an MAFA from Central Saint Martins College at the University of the Arts, London.
Teo's interest spans different artistic fields from painting to moving images. She focuses on expanding contemporary painting in various mediums, mainly in abstract and abstract-expressionistic traditions. Alternatively, by re-working hybrids of digital and manual fragments, she modifies the 'images' converting them to 'pictures', depicting dual sensibilities of virtual and real, guided by intuition and spontaneity.
