Biography
Born in Shenyang, China in 1990, Morgan Wu now lives and works in Shanghai.
Morgan Wu interprets new media, technology, nature and female identity with paintings and photographs. Zooming-in the hidden and murky symbols from the deep see, Morgan freezes these visual qualities into frames of cyber-images. She masters her skills as a painter to create works filled with psychedelic yet sensual and abstract quality. Much like her favourite subject- matter, jellyfish, Morgan dives deep with her viewers and bring us a transient experience.
Despite her young age, Morgan has already been exhibited in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Her works is collected by private collectors, as well as China Academy of Art and Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. Recent collaboration client includes Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort.
