Presentation

La Robotte's colorful, lively world drawn in color! This is the artist name of Valérie Chauffour Blémy, who transposes her technique both in her paintings, digital works and in 2D animation. Always attracted by art and science, she engages in scientific studies, but her attraction for art and creation brings her to study applied art in Paris, and then to scientific drawing at the National Museum of Natural History.

Thus, her work is part of a naturalist approach, continually seeking the association of natural sciences with the imagination, in order to make what exists known, in order to better understand and preserve it. Each work allows us to enter a new reality, while remaining anchored to the world around us. The viewer's attention is captured thanks to the artist's technique, which mixes the precision of scientific drawing and the freedom of imaginative drawing in very colorful universes.

She uses colors very precisely, whether with her brushes to deposit her pigments, markers, or in front of her graphics tablet, in order to compose an emotion and a sensation. If her work is very instinctive, she always lets us decipher it by the drawing, which allows her to provide the explanation or the learning, then by the overall composition to consolidate the work in a striking experience.

Thanks to this process, it offers us the experience of a dreamlike journey, while remaining attached to what we know, giving us the opportunity to learn new things and to question ourselves and our relationship to the living world for a few moments.

Her works are usually exhibited in the naturalist section of the Salon des Beaux Arts, which is held every year at the Carroussel du Louvre and soon in the incredible Maison Deyrolle. She has also participated in numerous productions of animated series and documentary films and has also been co-author for a popular medical book in which she has sublimated the human body and its functioning.
