Biography

Eric Robin was born in 1958 in Drôme, France.

He was introduced to painting at the age of 9, by his uncle, a painter.

He worked as a window dresser for luxury ready-to-wear boutiques, creating his own decorations.

In 1992, he opened his first workshop in Aix en Provence. He will exhibit his first creations and projects there. In 1998, he began his first work on the oxidation of copper foil (and leaf gilding), which he improved year after year.

In 2015, he turned to other research that allowed him to create new 3D works, crumpled paper.

Each painting represents tens of square meters of paper, carefully prepared and leaf gilded, oxidized, painted, decorated, cut out, folded.

Today, he exhibits his works in galleries and salons in France and internationally.
