Biography
Malik Roberts (born 1990 in Brooklyn, New York) is a Brooklyn-based painter and multimedia artist born to a Guyanese mother and a Trinidadian father. His travels between Atlanta and New York shaped his worldview and influenced the distinctive style he calls Cubo-Prismism, which blends Cubist elements with prismatic synthesis.
Her paintings adopt a rhizomatic visual language, allowing for both the “observation" and “reflection" of personal and cultural contexts. Rooted in a diversity of experiences, her work explores themes such as persecution, aspiration, and complexity, often using mixed palettes to convey profound emotional and cultural narratives.
