Timothy Archer

Timothy Archer is an emerging artist born in 1982 in Boulogne-sur-Mer. He currently lives and works in Berlin. He has a degree in art history from the Faculty of Lille and in Applied Arts from the Kienz School, Marc en Baroeul, the artist has a refined rigourous composed style.

His painted has develop with the influence of famous contemporary artist such as Andre Butzer, Jonathan Meese, and Bjarne Melgaard.

His inspiration are many most of them come from German Expressionist and modern painters, as well as from primitive art from Ocenia and Africa. He also draws his inspiration from his childhood from the ghosts stories of his grandmother and from the gifts his grandfather, who was a marine, used to bring for him from his trips.

The artist has multiple facets, he practices a protean creation in a fantastic universe. His pictorial world is inspired by his inner demons and dreams. He tells stories, our stories, our demons and our dreams. Disproportionate goddesses, kings, queens and warriors, cohabit in his compositions.

He draws with charcoal, ink and lead pencil on paper, he paints on a canvas and on ceramics. His paintings are full of life and express a perpetual desire to live and share.

His work is part of public collections: FRAC Bouches-du-Rhône 2012, La Cooperative Collection Cérès Franco in 2016..... He has been widely acclaimed by the press: Liberation, France 2.....
