I dream of colors before I paint. I imagine my painting before I draw. My imagination continues the gesture. The graphic element I add at the end is a kind of meditation.
Biography
PAINTER
Nature, the sea, and the sky are an essential source of my inspiration. I can be inspired to create abstract or figurative works.
I have always been drawn to art, to painting,
I play with light, transparencies, the depth of materials, and the feelings they convey to me.
From a very young age, I attended courses in visual arts workshops, so-called (manual) workshops, including drawing, painting, pottery, modeling, silk painting, bookbinding, and framing. About twenty years ago, I pursued a more professional course with professors from the Fine Arts schools in Toulouse and Orléans, and various advanced workshops in painting and art history.
Acrylic is my main medium; I use glazes with inks or oil.
On some of the canvases I have pasted nautical charts.
I often finish my canvases with a graphic element to define the colours or with imaginary writing using a brush or pen.
First and foremost a colourist, I create until emotion borders on reality.
