Artist Statement:

For me, Color is alive. I began as a painter forty years ago and that's what it's always been about for me with my canvases. Color. My intent is to think outside the box when it comes to color, perspective, shape. I like to focus on fields of color, rather than details. My heart belongs to expression rather than a duplication of reality. I allow the paint to interpret the dynamics of my subject's energetic ethos through vibrant use of rich color. Each canvas addresses form, line, light, shadow, but my work displays more than anything an interest in light and color. My canvases are gallery wrapped with painted edges, sealed, acid-free, and archival.
