In my "Perichoresis series", the painting "I'm Always Going Somewhere" encapsulates the perpetual movement of life's journey. This work vividly portrays the figure of a woman astride a bold red horse, which symbolizes the unyielding courage and forward momentum necessary to navigate the evolving landscapes of life. This piece reflects on the notion that we are always in motion, not just physically but in our personal growth and emotional resilience as well. It's a celebration of the human spirit's constant quest for advancement and the vibrant dynamism that propels us through our individual and collective narratives.
Presentation
Dasha Pogodina is an experienced Ukrainian artist based in Switzerland whose paintings have been exhibited in Ukraine, Slovenia and Switzerland.
She describes her distinctive figurative works as being about the "here and now" and celebrating the moving moment. Having been forced to flee her country twice due to war, she finds solace and strength in the works of renowned impressionist, Claude Monet.
