

Biography
Born in 1917 in Paris. Degree in philosophy, drawing professor at the City of Paris.
1937-1945. The war, the Resistance.
1946-1947. Shepherd school in Sologne which, along with Touraine, was his main source of inspiration, until he met the Beauce plain in 1960.
1958. Stained glass models.
1959-1969. He stopped exhibiting to deepen his research on the motif.
1963-1964. Blue period.
1966. Writes the book: Painting noise, painting silence (from his daily notebooks).
1966-1970. Reliefs and cutouts.
1970-1972. Symbol Period,
1973/1981. Canvas with bands.
1973-1975. Series of Suites, Birds.
1975. Writes the book: Essay of pictorial grammar for today.
1976-1979. Beaubourg cranes.
1976-1980. Geometric sculptures, Bias spaces, Triangles and polygons, enamelled sheets. Cloud Series.
1978-1981. Musics series inspired by contemporary music.
1981. Suicide of Jean Legros.
