Biography

I've always been a painter, with a predilection for watercolour, a technique that allows me to explore transparency, fluidity and light.

My work is rooted in direct observation of nature, which is why I prefer to paint outdoors, as close as possible to the elements.

Capturing an atmosphere or an ephemeral moment through the movement of water and pigments is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me.

I'm presenting a series of sketches made in my studio, which represent another facet of my approach. These are studies of live models, executed in the studio, which reflect the immediacy of the gesture and the search for accuracy in the forms. Each line, each brushstroke is an attempt to capture the energy and presence of the human body, emphasising the spontaneity of the gesture.

With these sketches, it is the emotion of the moment, the meeting of the eye and the gesture, that I wish to share through this exhibition.
