Biography
Mika Jacob was born in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Her artistic journey began with charcoal drawing, studying under artist Mark Gelzin for six months before transitioning to oil painting as an autodidact. Mika's work is a testament to the beauty she sees in the people around her, including her family, friends, and the dreams and struggles they share.
Each piece she creates is composed of multiple thin layers, designed to evoke depth, emotion and a sense of continuity. Mika believes that art should evoke emotion, inspire empathy and tell a story that allows viewers to see themselves in it, offering a new perspective with each encounter.
