Biography
Born in 1974, Eric Demelis did not devote himself to drawing until quite late in 2012, following a meeting with an artist from Haute Savoie. Through an intuitive and compulsive drawing, he quickly finds a place in the small world of Singular Art alongside self-taught artists with atypical backgrounds.
Inspired as much by Art Brut, comics, Flemish painters as by Sunday art, he develops a universe made up of hybrid and dazed characters first deployed in an obsessive form in well-filled paintings, saturated space, then attaching their expressiveness by showing them more solitary in micro-landscapes ...
