We are all dealing with ongoing pandemic and COVID fatigue. In addition to many people's normal winter fatigue, or SAD (seasonal affective disorder). Most of these symptoms can be alleviated by participating in our community when all basic needs are met. But that's the one thing we can't get to today. Making art one of our few escapes; The American dancer Twyla Tharp put it very well: art is the only way to run away without leaving home.
Monique Leliefeld (1950-) has the inherent power of abstract paintings in permeating bursts of powerful positive emotions in her artworks. We can all use a little bit of positive emotional infusion from Monique's extraordinarily powerful abstract paintings. Gallery Sorelle Sciarone is a contemporary art gallery that hosts colourful and evocative art exhibitions. We examine the oeuvre of contemporary Dutch artists from an art-historical perspective. Monique Leliefeld is a Dutch painter of emotion. Her figurative technique is excellent and she uses her precise style to capture fleeting emotions in abstract paintings.
