Natural forms: impressions and concepts, Molbert Gallery, St. Petersburg
Komotini From November 18, 2020 to November 29, 2020
Presentation
The art project "Natural Forms: Impressions and Concepts" includes works in the genre of 'abstract expressionism' and in the genre of 'conceptual abstraction' - these are expressive impressions of natural forms and a conceptual solution based on the observation and study of the interaction of natural forms.
History of the collection.
"It all started with quarantine, when I realized what strength can be drawn from nature so as not to lose a positive attitude and inner stability. Around the same time, it became obvious to me that in figurative painting I can more fully express what I think and feel now.
I began to remember my travels, and use every slightest opportunity to enjoy being close to nature. And what began as admiring natural landscapes and realistic sketches, resulted immediately in 2 series of abstract works - expressive impressions of natural forms and a conceptual solution based on observation and study interactions of natural forms.
By natural forms, I understand not only natural objects, but also the processes that take place. This series is part conceptual, part exploratory, part philosophical."
