Idowu Emmanuel: Where we come from

This exhibition is to celebrate our source, our origin, and our history because it makes us what we are.

It’s easy to be lost in the present and trapped in the middle of nowhere the moment we forget our source. We are neither here nor there but oscillate between two realities like a pendulum.

We can always visit where we come from over and over again until we find our balance. We can always go home.

Home is where we find peace and joy amidst the storms of life. Home is where we find solace. Home is where we are free to express ourselves. It is where our ancestors lived and thrived against all odds. Home is where we come from.
