Since 2018, I have been pursuing an ongoing exploration of matter, light, and relief. This exhibition, presented at the Abstract Art Gallery in Riga, Europe, brings together a selection of sculptural and pictorial works that embody this exploration.
“Resonances of Matter” features 50×50 cm pieces as well as large panoramic 123×53 cm works, all created using 3D relief, mounted on wooden frames, and presented in a box-frame style. Each piece is conceived as an architectural object: controlled depth, vibrant textures, contemporary minimalism, and luminous tension.
Matter becomes language.
Relief captures light.
Minimalism reveals the essential.
The 50×50 works offer an intimate and structured presence, while the large formats develop a more immersive, almost sculptural dynamic. Deep black, mineral white, petrol hues, subtle golden or metallic reflections: each surface is constructed to interact with the space and evolve according to the ambient light. This exhibition presents a collection of unique works, created using a contemporary approach that blends aesthetic exploration, technical precision, and meticulous attention to detail. My work lies at the intersection of art, interior design, and visual architecture.
As an engineer and researcher specializing in textures and design, I have dedicated these years to developing a personal style where relief is never merely decorative, but structural. Each piece is designed to last, to stand the test of time, and to integrate seamlessly into demanding contemporary spaces.
The gallery remains a vibrant space, open to collectors, art enthusiasts, and anyone wishing to explore this sensory world. Visitors are welcome by appointment to fully experience the artworks in their actual dimensions.
