CONTEMPORARY ABSTRACTIONS - Exploring Abstract Forms.
This exhibition brings together three distinct voices in the world of modern art: Jose Ricardo Contreras, Angelica Tcherassi, and Fredy Saul Serrano. This digital showcase explores the diverse ways these artists manipulate color, form, and space to evoke emotion and intellectual curiosity. These artists invite you to experience art through its most fundamental elements. We invite you to wander through this virtual gallery and discover the unique narrative each piece tells.
Jose Ricardo Contreras: The “Composition with Tools” series engages observers with quirky and playful truisms, gently leading them toward deeper reflections. Jose Ricardo Contreras, after long hours using digital editing tools, presents these paintings and sculptures as images themselves, highlighting their hidden aesthetics. This generates associations and similarities, awakening their sensitive potential with a humor parallel to their constant search for new perspectives on everyday life.
Angelica Tcherassi work’s combines organic elements, geometry and a bold use of color. As a believer in energy, spirituality and human consciousness, Tcherassi uses art as a way of life and a way to connect with the universe. Her process explores how variations of color in a single piece explore the generation of diverse perceptions and emotions. Inspired by artists such as Mondrian, Matisse, Rothko and especially Josef Albers, she experiments with abstract forms to provoke thoughts and emotions, using color to challenge and deepen our sense of perception.
Fredy Saul Serrano artworks depicts a perfectly synchronized dance across an ocean of empty space, inspired by the "Astronomical" section of the Jet Chocolate Bar Natural History Album (1986 edition). The stickers depicting the "Total Solar Eclipse (version 1-2)," the "Lunar Eclipse," and the "Annular Solar Eclipse" were taken from this section. The pictorial representation of these images, created with acrylic paints and rapidograph on wood panels, is oriented toward geometric abstractionism, understood as a constructive approach that seeks to highlight the simple forms and color of the image on a single plane.
