Biography

Alain Marquina is a photographer, producer, musician, born in 1956. He lives and works in Frontignan. He has a double diploma in photography and cinema, a bachelors in musicology and a masters degree in film-making and audiovisuals, he continued his studies at Ecole Cinématographique et Photographique des Armées. His professional career began with the world of image, as assistant operator, photographer, cameraman, assistant director. Therefore, he made quite an entry in the world of television, advertising and documentary-making. He was also the television director for France 3/ Magazine Horizon, France 2/ Dimanche Magazine, TF1/ History of images and opened his own production company.

At the heart of his region, and with the help of his camera, he tries to save the wine-making industry of the Languedoc region. Through intense sensitivity and lyricism, he puts vineyards in the limelight and glorifies them. He was quickly able to stand out as one of the most famous photographers in this field.

Alain Marquina created an exhibition called « Vignes en feuilles », which adds up varied projects: videos, a first publication combining literature, poetry and wine-making photos.
