Amar Briki was born in 1963 in Dellys (Algeria). Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Algiers in 1986, he participated in 1987 in a project in homage to Pablo Picasso, entitled "Painted Buses".
The period of the years 90 inaugurated a new stage in his career as an artist abroad where: he participated in the international graphic Triennial of Krakow (Poland) in 1991 and exhibited at the Algerian Cultural Centre in Paris in 1994.

It makes a stay of 1996 to 1999 in Tunisia. During this period, he participated in the International Festival of Fine Arts in Mahares in 1997, and exhibited in various galleries in Tunis, notably at the Mille feuille gallery and Ammar Ferhat.

In 1998 he made an artist's residence, in the atelier of the Rodriguez Acosta Foundation in Granada (Spain), on his return to Algeria, he exhibited at the Italian Cultural Centre in 2000, and participated in several events in France during the year of Algeria in France.

In 2010, he exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary History in Moscow (Russia), as well as in Paris (France) at the Salon de Mai; In 2012, he exhibited at the Orestiadi Foundation in Sicily (Italy). In 2014, he took part in the International Exhibition of Contemporary Art in Strasbourg St'Art, where he was selected from the exhibition's fifteen focus.
He exhibits at Seen Art Gallery Solo in April 2017, exhibition titled "Fragments Intimates." Since then he has participated in several collective exhibitions in Algiers. His works are kept in various private collections in Algeria and abroad.
