Biography

Rapainú explores what emerges out of the simultaneity of realities. To that end, he takes as a starting point the relationship between the human species and its environment, which is understood as a fragile and geologically ephemeral space/time.

From the 'ÉxtimoPresente' (The Present Extimate) collection, Rapainú works on the concept of multifocal photography by superimposing images with independent focus points, as if it were a visual translation of his conceptual search.

To create these works, he uses a handmade technique called 'photosynthetic photography' or 'chlorophyll printing' on plants or tree leaves, which allows him to connect with the ecosystem and adapt to nature time, as well as understand the living energies and assume responsibility for having plants as allies.
