Nathania Nangala Granites is an Australian Aboriginal artist of the Warlpiri people, born in 1995 and living in the community of Yuendumu, in the Central Australian Desert. She is part of the Warlukurlangu Aboriginal Artists Cooperative in Yuendumu. She was born into a family of artists. Her mother is Valda Napangardi Granites and her grandmother is Alma Nungarrayi Granites (1955-2017), a renowned artist who has exhibited in Australia and internationally. Nathania grew up listening to creation stories (Jukurrpa) from her mother and father, and watching her family paint. Nathania is married and has a baby boy born in 2011. Nathania is also Nampijinpa. She has two branch groups.
Nathania paints her father's Jukurrpa, particularly Ngapa Jukurrpa (Water Dreaming) and Warlukurlangu Jukurrpa (Fireland Dreaming). She also paints her grandmother's Yanjirlpirri or Napaljarri-Warnu Jukurrpa (Star or Seven Sisters Dreaming). These stories have been passed down through generations for millennia and are directly linked to the land, its characteristics, and the plants and animals that inhabit it. Nathania uses a loose palette to depict a modern interpretation of her traditional culture.
