Bruno Timmermans is a Belgian artist born in 1977 in Brussels, where he currently lives and works.
Bruno Timmermans works with images and the information that they conveys. He revisits, his own way, the portraits of the great icons of our times, by superimposing other images through transparencies, linked to their work and their actions. He deals with artistic creation through a new societal fact : the ultra information or the bulimic consumption of images and photographs.
Among the characters featured in his canvases, we can quote: David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Marilyne Monroe, Kate Moss, Jeff Koons, Aung San Suu Kyi, Takashi Murakami and several others.
