Biography

Dutch citizen, I have lived in Verviers since I was born in 1952. My career as a graphic designer began in 1972 in an advertising agency. I attend the Académie des Beaux-arts and later I graduate as a photographer in Liège. In 1987, it is independence and the beginnings of computer graphics. I buy my first Mac and fall for the digital pot. Self-taught, I learned everything in bulk: PageMaker [1987] Photoshop and X-Press [1993], digital photo [1995], HTML [1996], sublimation [2000], to finally go all-digital in photography [2005 ]. When I was very young, I was already drawn to photography, drawing and painting, encouraged by my grandfather, a talented painter. If you really want a label, it's informal art. Photographer and graphic designer by trade, I exclusively use my own black and white photographs, a basic material transcended by the power of experimentation, without preconceived ideas, to develop what I call my Lithograms. These abstract creations are open works, which the viewer can read freely, guided by his personal attraction to harmonies of shapes and colors. I regenerate myself regularly with new alliances, inspired only by the creative breath of nature, fascinated by the improbable associations of colors encountered in Ireland or in the Balkans.
