Biography
Soo is a Belgian artist born in 1962.
Soo’s approach has drawn inspiration from her many journeys and encounters. The diversity of her observations has led her to conclude that without some cultural diversity it is hard to have an open mind, or to evolve as an artist.
Soo’s journey is strikingly similar to that of a self-taught artist, filled with imagination that could be classified as a “dream within reality“. Her keen intellect means that she is alwats on the lookout for new methods and media in her imaginary and artistic world, and it also prevents her from getting into a rut or going over the same ground again.
Since the sacred lies at the heart of Soo’s approach, the photographer links subjects including her “Madonnas“, the universal image modestly covered by the veil, and also the “ethereal“ ones which seem to rely on god in 8 extremely delicate movements.
