Presentation

Olga is a painter born in 1975 in Bénin. She currently lives and works in Ouagadougou. Her grandmother taught him about the techniques of dyeing with natural colors, such as indigo. After a training in sewing, Olga specialized mostly in the fabrication of batiks with a unique style.

She transmits the culture coming from her country, her customs and her ancestral stories. Each one of her pieces weave a story that she tells us in her maternal tongue, Fon. Her batiks convey a universal message about African life and are reflected in her paintings. The reiteration of certain motifs illustrates surrealist, complex and impressionistic combinations. Her pieces create interferences with love, the relationships between men and women.
