Merry Kerpitchian (Merry K)

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1955, Merry Kerpitchian arrives in France in 1974.
Having worked during numerous years on the European Commission and for UNESCO, in 1997 Merry Kerpitchian discovers her talent for the art of sculpture. This revelation is going to change the course of her life. In 1998, she joins the Michel Serraz's workshop in Paris followed by the School of the Louvre in 1998 and 1999 after which various exhibitions and distinctions mark the interest of the public and the professionals for her work.

Her ground of preference being the classic and representational sculpture, she tries to sublimate the woman, to glorify the man, to breathe life and emotion into her works until they set body and soul.

"We are what we think and for us sculptors, the hand is the natural continuation of our thought. When a work is about to be born, when we have it in our fingertips " this means it has already taken a seat in our heart. If we can bring across this emotion, what could be more presenting for an artist."

Merry Kerpitchian signs her works under the name of artist Merry K. and works with famous foundries: Barthelemy, Chapon, Godard, Landowski guaranteeing an irreproachable quality of her bronzes.
