Biography

Svetoslava Georgieva holds a master's degree in "painting" from the Glasgow School of Art (Scotland, Great Britain) and a bachelor's degree in "restoration and conservation" from the "St. Cyril and Methodius" university in Veliko Tarnovo , where she is currently a doctoral student in the “Artistic Studies and Theoretical Disciplines" department. As a visual artist he has participated in five solo exhibitions and numerous group exhibitions at the Reid Gallery (Glasgow, Scotland), the Royal Scottish Academy of Art and Architecture (Edinburgh, UK) and the Campagna dei Cadduti (Trento, Italy). The first and only appearance took place at the Labyrinth Gallery (Plovdiv) in 2018, followed by exhibitions in state and private galleries in Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Razgrad, Stara Zagora, Oryahovo, Gabrovo, Dobrich, etc.
The artist lives and works in Varna, where she organizes numerous exhibitions and leads cultural projects and training courses within the framework of the Under One Roof foundation which she manages.
Svetoslava Georgieva works in the field of experimental abstract painting and plastic using mixed media combining acrylic, oil, relief textures and pastes, collage with fabricated papers, encaustic, embedding metal, wood and resin on canvas and stone. The works are the result of creative research and experimentation, in-depth research and play with materials, forms and philosophical concepts.
