Biography
Koffi Mens is an artist from Togo, born in 1985 in Lomé, Togo. A famous portrait artist, he depicts famous African figures.
Through figurative art, Koffi Mens uses black, white or painted tarp and lays another tarp which he cuts with a scalpel. The emptiness highlights the background and the face. Visible is born from the invisible as Koffi Mens plays with perceptions. By unsettling our eye and going past dogmas, his portraits question our sight.
Koffi Mens exhibits all around the world, mainly at the French Institute of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.
