Biography
Marcel Dzama is a Canadian artist. Born in 1974, He obtained his BFA from the University of Manitoba in 1997.
Dzama works across a wide range of media including sculpture, collage and film however, he is most well-known for his paintings. Utilizing ink and watercolors as heis media, Dzama creates fantastical artworks which are reminiscent of Surrealism in their irreality.
Dzama is represented by David Zwirner, with whom Dzama has had fourteen solo exhibitions - most recently in London, New York and Hong Kong.
