Biography

Born in Montréal, Canada, Daniel Bilodeau's work has been exhibited on four continents in museums such as the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum, and the CICA Museum (Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, Korea), and art galleries and fairs such as Mana Contemporary, Flowers Gallery, Arcadia Contemporary, HeronArts, 101 Exhibit, Chesterfield Gallery, Allegra LaViola Gallery, Lodge Gallery, Island Weiss Gallery, Art Hamptons, LA Art Show, Art Palm Beach, and others. He received his BFA from the Ringling College of Art and Design and earned his MFA with honors from the New York Academy of Art in 2013, also studying at Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. He is the recipient of several honors, including the George Sugarman Foundation Grant and the Leslie T. and Frances U Posey Foundation Scholarship. The Terra Foundation of American Art awarded Bilodeau a summer residency in Giverny, France. His work is also to be found in The Figure: Painting, Drawing and Sculpture, a survey of the use of the figure in contemporary art, published by Rizzoli Press and Disrupted Realism: Paintings for a Distracted World, published by Schiffer Publishing (artist feature and book cover artist). Daniel lives and works in New York City.
