Biography

Dave Cooper (born 1967, Shelburne - Canada) is a comic book author and Canadian painter.

At thirteen, Dave Cooper is hired by a comic book publisher. The young designer works for a few years on several titles of superheroes; In the early 1990s Dave Cooper discovered the works of Robert Crumb, Chester Brown, who influenced his early graphic novels. In parallel, he draws for Hellboy, The Mask, Godzilla.

In 1999, he published the first issue of his Weasel series, which received an award and gave him great recognition. The success of an art book dedicated to his paintings led him to devote himself entirely to painting, toy design and children's books. The Angoulême Festival has dedicated an exhibition to him in 2005.
