Raymonde Godin

Raymonde Godin is a Quebec artist living in France since the 1950s. From her North American origins, she has retained a taste for bold color and wide open spaces; the study of Chinese and Japanese cultures (friendships with François Cheng and Zao Wou-ki) opened the doors to a rhythmic, rigorous and full of improvisation painting. The artist has exhibited extensively, particularly recently at the Soulages Museum. At 90, R.Godin's art continues to dialogue with the secret music of nature and life.
