Description
This painting speaks of Raymonde Godin's fascination with Mont Ventoux. It is made up of four canvases assembled as if the artist, while turning around Ventoux, repeating his gesture, grasped its truth.
By settling at that time, in the 90s at the foot of Mont Ventoux, did Raymonde Godin, a fine connoisseur of Chinese art, have the impression of discovering her own Mont Huangshan? This painting is reproduced in the catalog of the Salon de Montrouge where the artist was the guest of honor.

Presentation
Raymonde Godin is a Quebec artist living in France since the 1950s. From her North American origins, she has retained a taste for bold color and wide open spaces; the study of Chinese and Japanese cultures (friendships with François Cheng and Zao Wou-ki) opened the doors to a rhythmic, rigorous and full of improvisation painting. The artist has exhibited extensively, particularly recently at the Soulages Museum. At 90, R.Godin's art continues to dialogue with the secret music of nature and life.
